Choose by your riding conditions

Mixed trail riding

For dry rocks, roots and a bit of everything. Start with a balance of grip, support and wear.

Start with: SYH-245 Medium Sticky.
Also compare Shinko 505 Cheater and IRC VE-33S Gekkota.

Slippery & technical

For wet rocks, slippery roots and slower obstacles where finding grip is the priority.

Start with: SYH-245 Super Soft or SYH-250 Super Sticky, which has also worked well on wet rocks in APW testing.
Also compare Kenda K774 IBEX and Maxxis Enduro Super-Soft.

Loose & soft ground

For loose soil, leaf litter and softer trails. Tread pattern matters as well as compound.

Start with: SYH-250 Super Sticky.
Also compare Shinko 525 Cheater for loose and loamy ground.

These are starting points for comparison. Bike fitment, carcass construction, riding pace and tyre setup also affect the choice.

Mousse or TUbliss?

Choose the feel and upkeep that suit your riding, then confirm fitment for your exact tyre and rim.

Standard mousse

NitroMousse Platinum · 10–12 psi feel

An all-round foam-insert option for trail and enduro riding. Select the exact Nitro part number for your tyre and rim.

Soft mousse

NitroMousse Plushie · 6–8 psi feel

A softer feel for slower technical terrain. Mousse figures describe feel, not air pressure you inflate.

TUbliss

Adjustable tyre-chamber pressure

A high-pressure inner bladder locks the bead; the separate tyre chamber lets you tune pressure. Check rim dimensions and maintain both chambers.

Looking forward to trying SYH. Any recommendations on which one to go for as a good all rounder that doesn't sacrifice too much performance for durability?

Advice from people who ride

We ride local rocks, roots and bush trails, and help you choose tyres for your bike, terrain and preferred setup. Grip comes from the compound, tread and carcass working together.
